She’ll be starting a new chapter of her life as a professor sa UP Baguio.

    Ha! Who would’ve thought?!

Don’t get me wrong… I think Pnx will make a great teacher. It’s just… ewan… parang weird lang kasi just two years ago, we were marching to the tune of Pomp and Circumstance accepting our diplomas, being all merry and nostalgic like there’s no tomorrow, tapos ngayon… she’s gonna be a college teacher!

    oOo
Just like old times, na-bully nanaman namin si Jih.

Bakit? Para daw naka-camouflage ang Pinas. O.O

Pink and Blue. Magmumukhang pang-Barbie ang buong Pilipinas.

Napag-usapan din namin kung anong hayop kami (ugh… don’t ask why… basta pinag-usapan naming un!) Si Pinky ay squirrel or chipmunk. Ako ay cow or hippo.

We also covered the Maguindanao Massacre sa conversation namin. Sabi ni Jih nagsasawa na daw siya sa lahat ng news about it kaya pinagtaasan ko siya ng kilay, sabay sabi – with full taray effects – “If I were a part of the victims’ families, I would never want anyone to forget what happened.” Natuloy kami sa isang bonggang patriotic speech (from yours truly). Noong natapos ako, sabi ni Pinky I should run for office daw.

My response? “Yes. I should. Ako Ay Pilipino! Ako Ay Bayani!” >.<

Kasi we came here to Manila kind of like a batch… all fresh grads, tapos a lot of us went to work for the same company. Si Pinky yung naging kasama ko sa pag-iyak during nights na sobrang homesick kami, during times na Baguio seemed to be the best place in the world. It was a comfort to know that she was just one text away. We could have dinner or watch a movie or just hang out any time and talk about how miserable, how happy, how stupid, how homesick, how crazy, how tired, how whatever we were.

Tapos ngayon… we realize that we’ve grown up. We’re not the same people who came here two years ago. We’ve matured, become more independent… we’ve gained a clearer view of what life is about and what we want to achieve in life. Then we move on to chase our own personal destinies… and there are times when chasing your destiny requires you to walk alone.

I’m sad that Pnx is going, but I’m both proud of and happy for her.

“Dang… susunod niyan, we’ll be receiving wedding invites from each other.”

What makes you think you’ll be invited to my wedding?”

    Panalo.

    oOo

    Anyway, Pnx…

I hope you continue to pursue God no matter what life throws at you. Remember always that through Him, and only through Him, will you be able to reach the greatness that you were destined for.

You’ll be missed! Love you lots! This metropolitan nightmare of a city just won’t be the same without you…

Ah I don't know what to add you pretty much covered it, and my farewell was a bit too early…

What I'll really miss about her is this (something that only she does): she would go quiet for like a minute or two, looking at something far away, then would suddenly turn to me and say something epic like, “OK you know what, I'll never get married.”

The we would just burst out laughing.

Alas, being home in Baguio is not the path I must walk at this point of my journey in order to reach my destiny.

Voila! That sounds so… I don't know… so something like what a ninja guru would say… bleh. o.O
