To those who dare

    To start small
    But dream big
    To be vulnerable
    In spite of the scars

    To love again
    To keep breathing
    To forgive
    And yes… to forget

    To embrace life
    And take risks
    To stare down the impossible
And say, “It can be done”

    To those who dare

    To smile
    And say, “Thank you”
    Even if they’re struggling
    Even if they’re hurt

    To cry
    To seek for help
    To admit their weakness
    To trust

    To let others shine
    To be humble and selfless
    To play second fiddle
    To put others first

    To those who dare

To know when to say “No”
    And say it
    To stand for what’s right
    To be wise

    To laugh
    At themselves
    At their problems
    At their own jokes

    To face their fears
To get out of their comfort zones
    To overcome
    To never give up

    To those who dare

    To learn
    To admit fault
    To stand up
    When they fall

    To believe
    To hope
    To love

    To those who dare

    Thank you
Because of you, I can dare too

Dedicated to: My childhood best friend.

Joanna Alonzo is a walking paradox. She is a beautiful, albeit messy, mixture of thought and emotion, expressed in the form of hopefully readable – and relatable – stories. She is a kingdom kid, who looks forward to being a writer and storyteller even when she reaches heaven. She is passionate about the unreached, about those who have yet to know the Love she found in the arms of the Almighty. She is intrigued by the world and its people, who day by day, continue to convince her that God is the greatest Storyteller of all.
